At Youturn, every data point represents a human story. As our Workforce Analytics & Systems Lead, you’ll turn workforce data into insight and insight into impact, ensuring the right people, capability, and systems are in place to support those who need it most.

This is a 12-month fixed-term opportunity to design and embed Youturn’s workforce analytics and systems capability. You won’t just maintain systems, you’ll build, elevate, and transform how workforce insights are generated and used, leaving a lasting legacy.

About the Role

This role requires a strong systems lens, combining workforce analytics expertise with the ability to optimise systems, strengthen data integrity, and deliver meaningful, decision-ready insights.

Youturn is looking for a highly capable Workforce Analytics & Systems Lead to build, optimise and embed workforce analytics capability across our organisation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail of HR systems, workforce data, reporting architecture and system integrations, while also translating complex information into meaningful workforce insights.

This role will suit an experienced HRIS, People Systems, Workforce Analytics or Workforce Planning professional who has a minimum of 3 years' recent, hands-on experience working with workforce data, reporting platforms, HR systems and business intelligence tools.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead the development of workforce analytics, reporting frameworks, dashboards and workforce intelligence capability that support evidence-based decision-making across the organisation. You'll work closely with People & Culture, Technology, Finance and operational leaders to improve workforce data quality, reporting maturity, system capability and workforce planning outcomes.

This is not a purely strategic role. We're looking for someone who remains technically hands-on and enjoys building, analysing, troubleshooting and improving systems and data solutions themselves.

The position will play a key role in improving the quality, accessibility and usefulness of workforce information through the optimisation of HR systems, reporting platforms and workforce analytics processes. The role is responsible for creating sustainable workforce reporting and analytical capability that can be transitioned into business-as-usual operations at the conclusion of the project.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing workforce analytics and reporting frameworks.
  • Developing meaningful workforce dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
  • Leading HRIS optimisation and workforce systems improvement initiatives.
  • Driving workforce data governance, data quality and reporting consistency.
  • Supporting workforce planning, forecasting and establishment management capabilities.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve system integration, data flow and reporting effectiveness across platforms.
  • Translating complex workforce data into actionable insights for leaders and executives.
  • Building sustainable reporting processes and capability that can be embedded into business-as-usual operations.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years' recent, hands-on experience in HRIS, workforce analytics, people systems, workforce planning, people reporting or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with workforce data, analytics, reporting and HR systems.
  • Strong capability in HRIS administration, configuration, reporting functionality, data governance and systems optimisation.
  • Experience developing dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau or similar BI platforms
  • Experience working with workforce data integrations, system interfaces and data flows across multiple platforms.
  • Proven experience improving reporting capability, data integrity, system utilisation and business processes.
  • Strong understanding of workforce metrics, reporting frameworks, workforce planning methodologies and data governance.
  • Ability to analyse complex workforce information and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations to leaders.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience within the Not-for-Profit (NFP), Community Services, Human Services, Mental Health, Social Services or Health Care sectors.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed, multi-site or service-based workforces.
  • An appreciation of the workforce challenges and reporting requirements within community-focused organisations.
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Commerce or a related discipline.
